Design of an iPad app for the fictional Polar Exploration Museum, a children’s museum about the Arctic and Antarctic. One of the main goals of the museum is to teach about climate change, its effect on the animals of the polar regions, and what action kids can take at home to help. The app is a scavenger hunt, and the main screen features a list of items which can be clicked on to learn more (via a pop-up which presents information and a picture). When an item is  found, the child touches the check-box and another pop-up appears congratulating them and it lists the updated number of penguins which have been saved (it increases each time an item is found). When all of the items are checked off, the child is presented with a voucher for free admission to the museum. The animal characters are present throughout the hunt screens and create a fun background on the pages.
