A packaging set for Musée du Louvre in Paris, France. The series includes a large bag, small bag, tissue paper treatment, poster bag, and gift card enclosure. The inspiration for the logo and the packaging was the contrast between the new (the glass pyramid designed by I. M. Pei) and the old (the Palace which began as a fortress built in the late 12th century). The bags juxtapose images of the ornate Palace against the modern pyramid. The logo represents the pyramid as seen through the arches of the Palace, and it combines a traditional serif typeface with a modern sans serif. The tissue paper lists over 200 artists represented in the museum.
